The Circuit of Being and the Power of Sound

I like to think of the body as a series of electrical circuits which are intertwined with eachother to create our whole self. There is an energetic circuit, a mental circuit, a physical circuit (the nerves), a spiritual circuit, etc. Within this analogy of our whole selves being comprised of many different circuits of energy, we can re-think concepts like "pain" within this reference and perhaps find a new perspective on healing.

I propose that pain is an automatic product of resistance within the circuit. In a circuit, a resistor is placed in the line of electric flow to resist and dampen the voltage and current in the circuit so that it can flow more easily through certain compontents. When we feel pain, we are "resisting the flow", so to speak. This "resistance" to WHAT IS, can often be a terrible feeling and so often people learn to ignore their pain, which only makes it worse. Whether your pain be physical, spiritual, mental or emotional, when pain is ignored, it builds up internal resistance in the corresponding circuit. This becomes what metaphysical healers refer to as a "block" or a "blockage" in your energy system that comprises your whole self.

The blockage is a "damn" in the river of electric pulsating energy throughout your circuit of our being. In order to release blockages and heal our pain on any level of our being, we must first relax. Relaxing is the first part of "letting go". Letting go is the first step toward releasing the tension that is holding the blockage in place. The reason that we put up these blocks and barriers and hold tension, is usually because our energy has shifted from some experience we are having or have had, and we are uncertain of the new feelings we are experiencing.

Perhaps someone you love has passed away or you have had some other experience that has created trauma or changed you on some level of your being. These experiences cause our energy to shift and if we are unwilling to flex with that change, it causes the built up resistance and we feel subsequent pain. The body uses emotions and pain to let us know where we need to fix the circuit (or complete it!) We often feel stuck, unable to move, rigid and frightened. Sometimes the pain becomes so pronounced that we seek help from outside our selves. For this, I have found no greater remedy than the ancient and pure power of sound.

Sound has the power to move you. literally. Different sounds have the power to shift you into a different "feeling tone" through the senses and the emotions. Depending on the style and tone of music, you can literally move these blocks out of the way. Even though there are millions of different human emotions and human fears, all of these pretty much fall into two categories..Those that feel good and those that do not. Remember that no matter how much pain you feel, the bliss of what lies on the other side of that pain- the truth of you- is far more comforting and incredible than anything you are leaving behind.

If you want to move forward from your pain, then overcoming your own intertia is imperative. Your intertia is the sum of everything that keeps you in one place. Your energetic and emotional blockages comprise a huge percentage of your personal intertia. These blockages can often be easily released by listening to the 'right sounds'. Different people will respond differently to certain sounds, but the the following link is to one of my favorite meditation sound videos that I use all of the time to release pain and go forth into healing. It is one of the sacred Solfeggio frequencies that helps the mind release control and relax. This is the first and most important step toward letting go.
